The "SPIRIT" program has a distinct focus on the preservation of the mental wellbeing of combat soldiers, after long periods of intensive and life- threatening combat service. The objective of the "SPIRIT" program is to grant the combat soldiers with fun and carefree breaks at one of AWIS rest and recreation facilities and thus "recharging their batteries" and releasing their accumulated stress.
These young men and women go through very stressful and exhausting military service. They start off with a rigid training period, after which they are posted at the heart of the conflict zones for long periods of time where their duties and responsibilities are enormous.
A week of R&R allows th em to return to serve Israel with renewed strength, and an opportunity for us to show these heroic individuals how much we appreciate their hard work and sacrifices.
The centers are equipped with sleeping facilities, swimming pools, fitness rooms, internet rooms, fully air conditioned, providing 3 meals a day, entertainment, and much more.
